912 Rotax EGT, exhaust gas temperature
probe location
The exhaust gas temperature (EGT) on
a Rotax 912 series of engines with both ignition circuits active
should read 1470 degrees F (800 degrees C) and should not exceed
1560 degrees F (850 degrees C) .
These readings should be taken by EGT probes located 2.76 inches (70 mm) down stream of the
exhaust flange.
The back pressure at takeoff should
be 2.9 psi or 0.2 bar
