Mike Makepeace of House of Flight Arkansas was at the show to
deliver a Fisher FP 202 Koala that he had recently completed for a
customer. Mike has been with the Fisher Factory since the early days
and over that time has been able to build a craft each year for either a
customer or for resale.

The Koala is a reproduction of a aviation classic, built using geodetic
wood construction.
The kit supplied by Fisher Flying products provides precut, shaped and
slotted wooden pieces, machined hardware parts, formed fiberglass cowling
and aluminum gas tank, full-size plans and construction manual.
The average builder will take 400-500 hours to finish off the
kit. If the builder opts for one of the quick build option he can cut
nearly 200 hours of the building time.
The craft Mike had built for his customer was going to be going on
floats and was powered by a Rotax 503, 50hp engine.
