INVERTED INSTALLATION
1)
crankcase
2) cylinder
3) cylinder head
4) water pump
5) radiator
6) tube from radiator to
water pump
7) tube from cylinder head
to
radiator
8)
radiator screw cap, with
excess pressure
valve and return valve
9)

cooling water
10) overflow tube
11) overflow reservoir
12) reservoir venting
13) expansion tank
14)
cylinder head venting tube
15) excess pressure valve
16) return valve
For this
installation a vent tube has to be connected on top of the water pump
housing #4 leading to the expansion tank #13 respective to the water
chamber of the radiator. The cooling system has to be vented well, to be
checked after a short operating period, and
cooling liquid has to be refilled, if
necessary. Only a perfectly vented cooling system will work properly.
Rotax recommends a 50/50 mix of silicant FREE
anti-freeze to distilled water for the Rotax 532, Rotax 582 and Rotax 618
two stroke engines.
