BRS ballistic parachute save

At 300 feet above ground, a down rotor or shear from a nearby ridge
caused a loss of control while the instructor flew with his student in
their Flightstar. Though the touchdown was sudden, the occupants
estimated their speed was significantly reduced.
"Our airspeed
went from 55 mph to below stall. The aileron had no response. We were
losing altitude fast. At 150 feet I pulled the handle. Everything worked
flawlessly and the deployment was smooth. My student agreed with using
the BRS
Result: Pilot and passenger survived!
