We run
ultralight aircraft and aircraft engine safety seminars, every second
month or as enrolment dictates.
Please call or email for dates. These safety seminars are also
available to clubs or groups.
8 participants are required as well as a classroom or club house to teach
from.
During the seminar participants will be taken the proper
procedures they should follow from when
their engine arrives in it's box through until it has to be rebuilt.
Some of the Engine Topics covered will be how to:
- properly set up the engine
- how to properly gauge it
- how to set up a prop
- how to set up the carbs
- how to set up the oil pump
- how to set the fan belt
- coolant installation
- spark plugs and how to read them
- engine maintenance
- gear box maintenance
- engine troubleshooting
Other topics covered include:
- adjusting your attitude for ultralight flying
- engine preflight
- aircraft preflight
- prop preflight
- techniques for safe cross country flights
The seminar runs from 9 a.m. until noon.
The cost to attend the seminar is $25.00 pre-registration is required so
that class room size can be accommodated.
